Freeform announces the 2-hour Season Premiere of its breakout comedy-drama series The Bold Type, scheduled for June 12th at 8/7c, in a new promo.
The show created by Sarah Watson, which see Sweet/Vicious’ Amanda Lasher taking over as showrunner, is set in New York City and follows three best friends – Jane (Katie Stevens), Kat (Aisha Dee), and Sutton (Meghann Fahy) – as they navigate the awkward, messy, and very real moments of life.
At the end of the first season, Kat hopped on a plane to go see Adena, Jane left her job at Scarlet, and Sutton chose Richard – or at least this is what viewers were led to believe. Judging by the trailers released so far for Season 2, Jane (Katie Stevens) might be fired from her new job after leaving Scarlet magazine, Kat is introducing her girlfriend, Adena El-Amin (played by Nikohl Boosheri, who is upped to series regular for the new season), to her parents, and Sutton seems to be dealing with a new woman who used the company’s credit card to buy drugs.
Stephen Conrad Moore, who’s playing Sutton’s boss Oliver, has also been upped to series regular.
The song used in the new promo/trailer is the 2018 single “Make Me Feel” by American singer Janelle MonĂ¡e, taken from her third studio album, “Dirty Computer”.
The Bold Type fans will be happy to know that the series was renewed not only for a second season, but also for a third one, each consisting of 10 episodes.
