AT&T’s new commercial humorously highlights the uncertainty of everyday situations while promoting its “AT&T Guarantee”, which ensures that customers get the connectivity they depend on, the deals they want, and the service they deserve.
The ad opens with Kathy, a young woman attempting to wash her hands in a public bathroom. Despite her efforts, the sink won’t flow. Seeing that, when another person steps up, the sink works perfectly, Kathy, left bewildered, wonders if the sink recognizes her existence.
A voiceover declares that “AT&T has a new guarantee because most things in life are not guaranteed, like sinks knowing you exist”.
In a cutaway scene, Marshawn Lynch appears in the commenter’s booth, where he and the commenter amusingly struggle to announce something in sync, further emphasizing life’s unpredictability.
The commercial concludes with the voiceover reiterating AT&T’s promise: “Connectivity you depend on, the deals you want, and the service you deserve. Or we’ll make it right.”
The instrumental song playing in the background is “Up From the South” by The Budos Band.
