Uncle Ben’s has released a new commercial, highlighting that, no matter how much “being together” has changed, sharing a meal can always bring us closer, even if we have to stay apart.
The 45-second spot, titled “Special Guests,” features a father and his little daughter in the kitchen, cooking together an Uncle Ben’s rice recipe. When the dad tells the girl that the respective recipe was sent to them by grandma, the girl asks him when they will see her again, which makes her dad admit he doesn’t know, but “hopefully soon”. The duo are then shown going on with their day, doing various activities together, from drawing and coloring to taking ballet lessons. At some point, though, after realizing what time it is, she rushes into her room to choose a dress to wear and then into her father’s bedroom, to choose a shirt for him. After laying the table, she goes to her dad, grabs his phone and asks him to go get dressed. When he returns, all dressed up, he finds his daughter at the table in a video call with grandma and her aunt.

The brand revealed that the ad features a real family and was made safely, following all social distancing protocols.
