Direct Line has launched a new ad campaign, which aims to position the company as “the fastest and most efficient problem solvers”.
The campaign, which debuted on March 6, includes three spots that features “outheroed” heroes. RoboCop, Donatello (the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle), and Bumblebee (the Transformer) are all trying to save the day to find out that the insurance company has already done it. RoboCop, for instance, after handing a criminal to justice, goes to a company to help employees find their stolen laptops. He soon learns that Direct Line has already taken care of this by replacing the laptops.
RoboCop is played by Derek Mears. The actor shared the ad on his Facebook page and praised the suit he wore and the advert. “The #Robocop suit I wore for this @DirectLine spot that @LegacyEffects made was outstanding. Applause to them & all involved with the delightful commercial!!” he wrote on the social network.
Other two spots, directed by two-time Oscar nominee Bryan Buckley and launched on March 6, feature Bumblebee (the Transformer) and Donatello (the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle).
