Tesco Girl Preparing Salmon Fillets for Her Parents Advert Song

Tesco Family TV Advert - Food Love Stories

Tesco has released a new ad to promote its Salmon fillets, carefully chosen for tenderness and now just £3.50 with a Tesco Clubcard or app.

The spot, part of the chain’s “Food Love Stories” campaign, features a young woman named Ella preparing miso-glazed salmon which she serves with crunchy, fresh vegetable slaw to her parents. Before taking the plates to the dining table, she garnishes the pan-fried Tesco salmon fillets with spring onion and sesame seeds, then takes a deep breath. However, as they all get around the table for dinner, including Ella’s younger sister, the latter gives their parents the news the “chef” wanted to give, that she scratched the family car.

The song used in the ad is the 2004 song “They”, which marked the debut single from Welsh singer-songwriter Jemma Griffiths, also known as Jem. The track samples a 1963 vocal version of Bach’s Prelude in F minor and is included on the musician’s debut album, “Finally Woken”. Jem’s albums are available for purchase on Amazon in various formats.

The offer, valid until October 31, includes 2 boneless salmon fillets 260g. The deal excludes Express stores and requires Clubcard or app.

Consumers can find Ella’s recipe and shop for ingredients on the Tesco website. They can also be inspired by other food love stories, such as Sue’s “dive in” crispy pork noodles, Tesco finest dinner for two, and more.
