Celebrity MasterChef returns to BBC One with season 12, on Wednesday, August 16.
The cooking show will feature batches of celebrities, including Rebecca Adlington, Angellica Bell, Jaymi Hensley, Tyger-Drew Honey, Rachel Stevens, and Dev from Radio 1, undertaking culinary challenges to prove their talent to judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace.
The first five celebrities that will “fight” for the coveted cookery competition title are TV presenter Angellica Bell, comedian and actor Jim Moir, snooker world champion Stephen Hendry, tennis legend Henri Leconte, and presenter Julia Somerville. First, they will be asked to create one dish using only the ingredients in a box called the Mystery Box (which are lamb loin, butternut squash, goat’s cheese, rhubarb, and basic larder), to cook in a restaurant kitchen for paying customers, and, in the final test, to prepare a two-course menu of their own design in just one hour.
The second episode, which will air on August 18, starting from 20.30, will see previous champions return to the competition to help decide who should go through to the semi-finals.
The song used in the trailer is Shania Twain’s single “Life’s About To Get Good”, included on her upcoming fifth studio album, “Now”, set to be released this fall, on September 29th.
