Toyota pays homage to the 40-year history of the Toyota 4Runner and reveals the 2023 4Runner in a new commercial.
The spot features a diverse cast of Toyota 4Tunner drivers over the course of 3 decades saying various things about a best friend. “A best friend always tells you where there’s something in your teeth,” “your best friend is always your biggest cheerleader,” “a best friend always has your back,” “a best friend always knows what you’re thinking,” “a best friend always gives you the shirt off their back,” and “a best friend loves your other best friends, too,” the individuals say throughout the 90-second ad.
The commercial, which showcases the Toyota 4Runner 40th Anniversary Special Edition, ends with the onscreen lines “Celebrating 40 years of friendship. Celebrating 40 years of 4Runner.”
The 2022 4Runner, introduced as “Captain of the off-road,” starts from $38,105 for the SR5 model and goes up to $52.920 for TRD Pro. The range also includes the TRD Sport trim, Trail Special Edition, SR5 Premium, TRD Off-Road, TRD Off-Road Premium, and Limited.
