Sprite LeBron James and Lil Yachty Commercial 2016 – WannaSprite

Sprite have released a new commercial on their YouTube channel as part of the #WannaSprite campaign, starring LeBron James and Lil Yachty.

The 60-second spot features James on the set, trying to film a commercial endorsing Sprite, but he doesn’t follow the script and tells what he would do: “Let’s get one thing straight! I’d never tell you to drink Sprite even if I was in a commercial for Sprite, which I am, and you are watching, which you are. I wouldn’t tell you to drink it no matter what that cute card says”. The filming team holds a card saying “Drink Sprite” and one of the persons there asks James to say it, but he refuses.
The next scene features the basketball player at what it seems to be a pool party, continuing his speech: “Not even Eugene ate taco with extra hot sauce and you were holding an extra cold Sprite and for some reason waiting for me to tell you to drink it, I still wouldn’t tell you to drink that thirst quenching Sprite”.
The next scene introduces Lil Yachty playing the piano in a seemingly ice tunnel and LeBron James saying “Even this was a metaphor about Sprite and I was talking about Sprite and little Yachty here was paid by Sprite to write lyrics about Sprite, I still wouldn’t tell you to drink Sprite”.
“And even all these cool influential people were holding one, I still wouldn’t tell you to drink a cool crisp and refreshing lemon lime Sprite” – says James, now on a basketball field, surrounded by a group of “cool influential people” holding bottles of Sprite. “I’d ask you “You want a Sprite?”.
