Volvo continues its campaign for the XC40 with a new installment, that focuses on the smart storage available on the compact SUV.
The spot features a mother and her pre-teenage son as they are getting into a Volvo XC40 and go on a road trip. First, they put their baggage in the trunk and then their personal belongings in the cabin, near them. The automaker aims to highlight thus that the Volvo XC40 makes every drive more organized with a foldout hook for bags, cardholder slots, a waste basket, a compartment under the driver’s seat that can hold a tablet, a door bin large enough for a laptop, even a spot to wirelessly charge your phone.
The soundtrack is cover of the 2015 hit single “Lean On,” recorded by Jamaican-American electronic dance music
group Major Lazer featuring French DJ and record producer DJ Snake with vocals from Danish singer MØ.
The 2020 Volvo XC40 was rated superior for pedestrian crash reduction and was awarded IIHS Top Safety Pick+ in 2019.
Customers can build their own XC40, starting from $33,700, and choose from vivid colors, a distinctive contrast roof and unique styling options in terms of design. The large cargo area with 57.5 cu ft of space comes with an optional foldable, removable floor to keep things from sliding around. A power-operated tailgate is standard and, for more convenience, there is an available function that lets you open and close the tailgate with a forward-motion kick of your foot under the left side of the bumper.
