Sir Bradley Wiggins stars in a new advert for Skoda, promoting the Skoda Kodiaq and talking about his best times.
The spot, set to the rhythms of “Ponds” by Icelandic composer, singer/songwriter Biggi Hilmars, features how the professional road racing cyclist balances his training with his family life. Thus, scenes of him riding a bike indoor alternate with images of him and his family riding bikes in nature, of him walking his two Saint Bernard on a high hill, taking his kids at school, waking up at 5.30 in the morning to start his training routine, which includes lifting weights at the gym, staying in a tub filled with ice cold water, and doing a sweat-dripping stationary bike workout.
The ad showcases that he’s also making time for his kids (he goes to watch his son playing football and her daughter play in a school play), for his passions (he’s playing the guitar), and for hanging out with his friends, and that he uses Skoda Kodiaq for all his travels.
“I’ve spent my life doing everything possible. To achieve the best times I could. But the truth is, these have always been my best times.”, says Wiggins referring to the precious moment spent with his children.
The advert ends with the onscreen line “Reconnect New Skoda Kodiaq” and with the tagline “Driven By Something Different”.
