The North Face continues its “Never Stop Exploring” campaign with a new installment, encouraging people to unplug from their always-on lives and connect in real life to the world, each other and themselves.
Entitled “Explore Mode,” the spot highlights that “It’s time to log off, sign off, turn off, unplug and and turn on Explore Mode”. Footage of people doing various activities, such as camping, hiking, climbing, diving and more, is juxtaposed with close-ups of North Face products, including backpacks, jackets, and others.
“It’s time to connect in real life,” an onscreen line also reads, before the tagline “Never Stop Exploring” appears alongside the brand’s logo.
The soundtrack music is “Matangi” by English-Sri Lankan recording artist M.I.A., from her fourth studio album, “Matangi,” released in November 2013 on her own label, N.E.E.T. Recordings, through Interscope Records.
The Explore Mode collection, including travel gear for men and women, features pieces like the Women’s Bayocean Hoodie, Women’s Short Sleeve Emerine Top, Women’s Utility Hybrid Hiker Tights, Women’s Sestriere Low sneakers, Women’s Isabella Backpack, Women’s Dawn Break Dress, Women’s Arise and Align Mid Rise Pants, Women’s Cadman Moc Knit Slip-Ons, the versatile Sightseer Jacket for women, that’s lightweight and water repellent for added protection, Men’s Temescal Travel Jacket, Men’s Motion Pants, Men’s Classic LFC Fleece Crew, the Stratoliner Pack, Men’s Milan Sneakers, and more.
