United Airlines is permanently getting rid of change fees for Economy, Economy Plus, and premium cabin tickets for flights within the U.S. or between the U.S. and Mexico or the Caribbean, and international travel originating in the U.S., and spreads the news in a dedicated commercial.
The spot features a woman who is forced by the bad weather to take her flight back home sooner. “On United, you don’t have to pay change fees if you want to fly home sooner. Because sometimes, the end of the story can’t some soon enough,” the voiceover says in the 15-second ad, which ends with the onscreen lines “No change fees. End of story”. Eventually, the tagline “Good leads the way” appears on the screen, too.
The soundtrack music is “Sweeter Than Wine” by Howling Music Group.
The airline says that, when you book a flight with United, there won’t be any change fees if you’re traveling within Continental U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, the Caribbean, and Mexico and you have these types of tickets: Economy, Economy Plus, United First, United Business, and United Premium Plus.
