Katy Perry promotes her upcoming studio album, Witness, set to be released on June 9, with a short video in which she asks people if they can really see her.
The 30-second film features the 32-year-old singer dressed in a salmon-colored ruffly top against a neutral background wearing, looking straight into the camera. “Can you see me? I mean I know you can see me. But can you really see me?” – asks the artist, who then starts talking about herself as follows: “My name is Katherine Hansen. I’m vulnerable and strong. I’m a woman, an artist. I’m liberated, goofy and I’m not always right. I’m Katy Perry and I’m not just one thing”.
The promo video ends with a snippet of the title track from her upcoming album. Tickets for her Witness Tour went
on sale today at 10AM local time.
