Volkswagen showcases, in a new commercial, its Volkswagen ID. BUGGY, a brand new concept car unveiled at Geneva International Motor Show 2019.
The spot features the vehicle, with its cheery matte-green paint job, exposed wheels with off-road tires, open side skirts, and the complete lack of any doors or roof, as it catches the eye everywhere it goes. A woman in a bus station, a street vendor, and a young man who dropped his stuff are all seen looking after the VW ID. BUGGY, used by a young couple. A bride and her groom are also captured staring at the ID. BUGGY that had just passed in front of them, by their photographer. Children running across a green field, people dancing, and colorful balloons up in the air are also featured in the uplifting commercial, which is scored by the 2018 single “Got a Feeling” by Bonti, from his self-titled album.
“A buggy is more than a car. It’s an attitude towards life. This is notably embodied in the new ID. BUGGY: It visualises a modern, non-retro interpretation of such a classic and, most of all, that electric mobility can be very emotional,” Klaus Bischoff, Head Designer at Volkswagen, said in a statement.
