Focus Features has dropped the official trailer for the upcoming comedy movie “Bugonia”, a remake of the 2003 South Korean film “Save the Green Planet!” by Jang Joon-hwan.
Driven by their obsession with conspiracy theories, two young men kidnap the influential CEO of a global corporation (played by Emma Stone), firmly believing she is an extraterrestrial being with a secret plan to annihilate humanity.
“It all starts with something magnificent,” the voiceover is heard saying in the trailer.
Jesse Plemons, Alicia Silverstone, Stavros Halkias, and Aidan Delbis also star in the movie.
The song playing in the trailer is “Basket Case” by Green Day, released in 1994 as the third single from their breakthrough album Dookie.
