Chase promotes its Chase Freedom Unlimited card in a hilarious new commercial starring Kevin Hart.
The spot opens with the comedian arriving on court and approaching Stephen Curry by letting him know that he bought the team. “I put it on my Chase Freedom Unlimited card,” he says, while his assistant shows off the card. Hart also mentions that he’s gonna cash back on a few other things, too, starting with the sound system. He also has some crazy ideas, apparently, including one related to Curry’s intro on the court, which involves riding a bike through a circle of fire, five minutes a game for the team owner, and a jersey featuring the text “CA$H BROS”.
“Cashback like a pro with Chase Freedom Unlimited,” the comedian says in voiceover at the end of the commercial, which highlights that this card lets members earn 5% back on travel purchased with Chase, 3% on dining, including takeout, 3% at drugstores and 1.5% on everything else.
Hart has starred in several other ads for the bank’s Freedom Unlimited credit card since he became a brand ambassador for Chase, in January 2019. The comedian/actor signed then a multiyear partnership to promote financial wellness and the Chase Freedom Unlimited credit card in a campaign that also includes digital video, workshops, events, and GIFs.
In one of the ads, he shared the screen with Catherine O’Hara, the famous actress, who played Kevin’s mother, Kate, in the “Home Alone” franchise. The spot shows her in a store, realizing she lost Kevin Hart.
Chase has also enlisted several other celebrities to promote its products. Among them are Michael B. Jordan, Anderson .Paak, famed chefs Sophia Roe and Melissa King, and master wellness & self-care educator Devi Brown, who touted the Chase Sapphire Reserve.
