Calvin Klein has launched its Spring 2019 Calvin Klein Jeans and Calvin Klein Underwear campaign film, that aims to illustrate the spirity of youth, of discovery and of “right now”.
The 60-second ad stars Shawn Mendes, Noah Centineo, Kendall Jenner and A$AP Rocky, as well as a cast of models. The To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before star, 22-year-old Miami-native Centineo, is seen donning a white T-shirt and a pair of Calvin Klein jeans while riding a bike and listening to music in his headphones. Shawn Mendes is featured eating his bowl of cereals in the morning while wearing nothing but trunks (Calvin Klein, obviously). However, he is then seen putting on some Calvin Klein jeans, as well, before heading out, to join his friends by the pool.
Kendal Jenner rocks a black underwear set in the bathroom and A$AP Rocky, laid back on the roof, bare chested, is donning jeans.
Serving as soundtrack is the 1987 single “True Faith” by English rock band New Order, from their compilation album “Substance” (also known as “Substance 1987”).
According to the brand, the new Calvin Klein Underwear styles were inspired by “the quintessential romance of youth, lensed against a backdrop of dreamy suburbia”.
On February 18, Mendes, who was recently unveiled as the face of Calvin Klein’s latest underwear campaign, posted images from the campaign on his Instagram page, along with the text “@CalvinKlein #MyCalvins. Campaign coming this week”.
