Target Australia showcases its range of toys in a new ad, urging viewers to make a play date.
The 30-second spot features a young boy organizing a play date with all kind of toys, such board games (available at Target at $6 each), plush toys in various animal shapes (at $10 each), costumes (at $9 each) and more. When his mother, who found his written invitation to the play date in the mailbox, shows up, he greets her, takes a remote control rock crusier ($29), and goes to hug his her and then starts playing with her.
The song used in the commercial is “New Sensation” by Australian rock band INXS, included on their 1987 album,
“Kick”, recorded for Atlantic Records.
