Zales promotes the new Interwoven collection in a series of new ads, highlighting that “Wherever life takes us, we go together”.
One of them, titled “Flying Blind”, features a young woman who decide to go on a trip leaving the choice of
destination to random chance. The girl, who has just received an Interwoven pendant from her boyfriend, is seen having her eyes covered with a scarf and then throwing a dart at a map on the wall. As the camera spotlights the destination, we see “Paris”, but seconds later it is revealed that it’s not the city of Love and Romance in France, but Paris in Texas.
“That moment when who you’re going with is more important than where you’re going. Wherever life takes us, we go together.” – the voiceover says at the end of the spot.
The song playing in the background is the 2014 single “We Are Young” by Duce Williams, from his “Miami Folk” album.
According to the American jewelry retailer, Interwoven “symbolizes the unique journey a couple is on together and celebrates the promise of what is to come.” The pair of intertwining strands featured by each design symbolize “two lives becoming one”, and the diamond at the center represents “the unity of the couple and their relationship together”.
