Johnnie Walker Commercial Song – Father’s Day

Johnnie Walker Commercial

Johnnie Walker presents its personalized Johnnie Walker Blue Label for Father’s Day in its latest commercial, highlighting that “Some gifts speak a thousand words”.

The 45-second spot, titled “For My Father”, features a young man who’s taking language lessons from his Chinese fiancé ahead of their wedding, to impress her father. He’s “practicing” every night at dinner, he’s repeating the words next day, during his morning run, and, eventually, he manages to speak correctly in Mandarin at his encounter with Mr. Fong, his soon-to-be father-in-law. But what impresses the latter the most is, according to the ad, the gift offered by the young man: a custom engraved bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label.

The future bride, who’s been eavesdropping at their conversation, shows up from behind a door with a large
smile on her face, proud by her future husband’s success.

Father’s Day is celebrated by Americans on the third Sunday in June, so this year it will be on June 18.

Johnnie Walker Blue Label bottles can be engraved with three lines including 15 characters per line. You can either have your own engravings or select an existing one, from a list available at the brand’s website, including messages for several occasions, such as “To a new father and old friend. Keep walking.”, “To the man who taught me about scotch”, “May your new home open many doors”, “To a new year and a new path. Keep walking.”, “Congratulations on the degree. Keep walking.”, “Here’s to many more Valentines to come”, and, of course, “Happy Father’s Day, Dad.”.

The song playing in the background is Showtime Hustle by John Rowcroft.
