Netflix has released the official trailer for its upcoming original series Fatal Seduction.
According to the official synopsis, the show, which is an adaptation of the Mexican telenovela Dark Desire, revolves around a married professor, Nandi Motlatsi, who is pulled into a passionate affair with a younger man that uncovers a path of tragedy and betrayal from those closest to her.
Nandi meets the alluring tempter on a weekend that she spends away with her best friend, Brenda. He ignites her deepest passions, but her relationshipip with him gives place to drama in her life: past lies and secrets of those closest to her are revealed.
The trailer gives viewers a glimpse at the characters, with focus on Nandi, whose marriage with Leonard, her husband, is no longer the same romantic blissful attraction it was for. Her life changes dramatically when she meets Jacob and falls for him. “Desire is a dangerous game” an onscreen line reads in the video, which is scored by a dramatic song. Her husband suspects her to be cheating on him and Brenda is found dead.
The cast also includes Thapelo Mokoena as Leonard, Nandi’s husband, Prince Grootboom as the mysterious man named Jacob, Nat Ramabulana, Lunathi Mampofu, Ngele Ramulondi and Frances Sholto Douglas.
Fatal Seduction premieres July 7th, on Netflix.
