Heineken 150 Years of Good Times Commercial / Advert Song – Feat. Mika Hakkinen

Heineken 150 Years of Good Times Commercial Song - Feat. Mika Hakkinen

Heineken celebrates its 150th anniversary with a playful campaign embracing its hard-to-spell name.

The tongue-in-cheeck spot pokes fun at the many ways the beer has been nicknamed and shows a diverse cast of people asking for a Heineken in bars. Some of them pronounce Verdinha, others Hekkene, others Moneken, Heini, and a woman pronounces Hakkinen. Double Formula 1 Champion Mika Hakkinen makes an appearance at this point, asking “Me?”.

“Heineken celebrates 150 years of international fame, 150 years of good times. Whatever you call us, Heineken. For a Fresher World.” onscreen lines read throughout the video.

The song playing in the background, which features nonsensical French lyrics with occasional lines in English, is the 1978 single “Ça plane pour moi” by Plastic Bertrand.

“Brewing good times has been in our DNA for 150 years. That is why we are evolving our brand metrics to show that creating good times is equally as important as the beer we produce,” Bram Westenbrink, global head of Heineken, said in a press release.
