Applebee’s urges people to “Give the Gift of Applebee’s” in its Christmas ad, highlighting that consumers get a $10 bonus card back when they purchase a $50 restaurant gift card.
The animated spot features a boy who walks through the snow with an envelope in his hands to deliver it to a friend who’s making a snowman. Opening the envelope, the recipient is delighted to see that it’s a $50 gift card.
The commercial, set to the tune of Glen Campbell’s 1969 single “Try a Little Kindness” (from his thirteenth album of the same name), ends with the onscreen line “Give a $50 gift card, get a $10 bonus card” and with the chain’s tagline, “Eatin’ Good in the Neighborhood”.
The free $10 bonus gift card deal is valid with a purchase of every $50 gift card for a limited time only.
