Volvo XC40 Recharge Alicia Commercial Song – Feat. Little Girl at Her Grandfather’s House

Volvo XC40 Recharge Commercial / TV Advert

Volvo has released a new ad for its XC40 Recharge Pure Electric SUV, designed for modern urban living and beyond.

The spot features a little girl named Alicia who pays a visit to her grandfather and tries to control various products around the house with her voice and gestures. She wants to turn on the light, the TV and other items by simply moving her hands and doesn’t seem to understand why she cannot do that in the old man’s house. It soon turns out that she is used to do that because her parents drive the XC40 full electric compact SUV, which boasts intuitive tech and Google built in. She even has a tiny version of the vehicle, with which she plays on the rug. The grandad joins her and plays with another tiny car, a simpler one, but the girl doesn’t like it too much, though.

The song used in the ad is Ethel Merman’s “Anything You Can Do”.

Powered by a 78 kWh lithium-ion battery, the XC40 Recharge Pure Electric can keep drivers on the road for over 400 kilometres when fully charged, according to WLTP testing standards. It can fast charge from zero to 80 percent in around 40 minutes.

In terms of technology, the car features include fully integrated Google Maps, hands-free voice control enabled by Google Assistant, real-time traffic info and automatic rerouting, a built in route planner, which lets you know when to charge before power runs low and recommends when and where to charge. The XC40 Recharge also offer smart storage solutions, a front compartment for charging cables, sustainable materials, such as recycled plastic, and – with the Volvo On Call app, lets you create your own perfect space remotely before you set off. Thus, with a simple command, you can preheat the car, precool it and more.
