Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming film Sounds Like Love, based on the best selling novel “Canciones y recuerdos” of Elisabet Benavent.
The movie, directed by Juana Macías from a screenplay by Laura Sarmiento, is set in Madrid, Spain, and revolves around fashion assistant Maca, who has just about got her life together after a devastating breakup, when Leo, the man who broke her heart returns. According to the official synopsis, “Seeking support from best friends, Adriana and Jime, all three will learn love can be complicated”.
The cast includes María Valverde and Álex González as Maca and Leo, Elísabet Casanovas and Susana Abaitua as Adriana and Jimea, Eva Ugarte, Roger Berruezo, Ignacio Montez, Claudia Galan, Carlo Costanzia, and more.
The trailer gives viewers a glimpse at the events, revealing some of the decisions the protagonist makes, from facing her tyrannical boss to going on a date with her ex, who had once disappeared, leaving her wondering what had happened, to trying to learn to love herself and think about her wellbeing.
The song used in the trailer is the 2021 single “Raw Thoughts” by London-based multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Bella Latham, known as Baby Queen.
The Spanish romantic comedy film will arrive on Netflix this fall, on September 29.
