Vodafone Ireland promotes its trade-in offers in a new advert, highlighting that trade is good not only for your pocket but also for the planet.
The spot features a diverse cast of individuals searching through their room for their old smartphone and celebrating the moment they find it because they intend to trade in the device and get a new one.
“Get paid for trading in your smartphone and together we can help our planet by recycling and repurposing it,” the voiceover says at the end of the advert, adding the tagline “Vodafone, Home of Trade In”. The #SwitchToGreen hashtag also appears on the screen.
The soundtrack music is Al Martino’s single “Look Around (You’ll Find Me There)”.
Existing Vodafone mobile customers can trade in their old phones via the online trade-in portal. They must use the trade-in portal and have the phone they want to trade in tested. First, though, they have to make sure it is running on the latest IOS or Android version. Once they approve the trade-in value and provide their contact details, a postage label will be emailed to them. The next step is to drop the phone to the nearest DPD collection point with the free postage label. Eventually, once the phone is received by Vodafone, they will get the payment directly into their bank account, in 5-7 business days.
