Gucci has released a new commercial, featuring the Spring Summer 2017 eyewear collection.
The 30-second spot, directed by Petra Collins and featuring beautiful rural landscapes and interiors of her native Hungary, introduces viewers in a world where everything is not quite as it seems. What begins as a window into rural family life, with two kids, a boy and a girl, watching TV together with their grandmother, gives way to a fantastical dream. The little ones, who are Petra’s young cousins, are transported on a surreal journey, from the countryside, where they run and play, to a party in a traditional thermal bath-house, where guests are wearing key designs from the brand’s Spring Summer 2017 eyewear collection, such as square-frame star stud sunglasses, round-frame acetate sunglasses, and Hollywood Forever sunglasses (which debuted on the Spring Summer women’s runway), and an old lady is playing the guitar like a rock star.
The soundtrack music used in this ad is a cover of Billy Idol’s “Eyes Without A Face”, from his 1983 album “Rebel Yell”, performed by Baustelle.
