Woody Harrelson is a lonely, neurotic and hilariously honest middle-aged man in the upcoming comedy drama Wilson, scheduled to be released this spring.
Based on the graphic novel of the same name by Daniel Clowes, the film, written by Daniel Clowes and directed by Craig Johnson, follows the main character, named Wilson, as he reunites with his estranged wife, who has given for adoption their new-born 17 years before, and meets his teenage daughter for the first time.
Wilson, starring also Laura Dern, Isabella Amara, Judy Greer, and Cheryl Hines, is scheduled to have its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 22, before its wide release, on March 24.
The trailer reveals some scenes from Wilson’s journey to meet his family and some of his wisdom, such as “Life is long and miserable” and “We all want people who love us for exactly who we are, so we’ve got to make the best of what we have”.
The song used in the trailer is Frank Sinatra’s 1966 hit “That’s Life”.
