SZA stars as Catwoman in the latest State Farm commercial, titled “Here Kitty”.
The singer is shown carefully placing pieces of jewelry on a newspaper titled “The Gotham City Gazette”, signaling that the string of burglaries continues, but State Farm helps citizens recover, while simultaneously, scenes of the heist through which she acquired them unfold in parallel.
“Over 20 burglaries have been reported around Gotham City last night. Police have no leads on the investigations.” one announcer says, while Catwoman wants to thank the city’s residents for leaving their belongings unattended.
“Thank you people of Gotham City. Can you believe people just left these lying around the house?” SZA is heard saying.
After draping a necklace around her cat, she casually remarks, “Now we match perfectly”.
The commercial concludes with the on-screen text reading, “To Be Continued.”
