Disney has released a trailer for the upcoming comedy movie “Freakier Friday”, the sequel to the 2003 “Freaky Friday,” with Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan in the leading roles.
If the original movie follows a mother and daughter who mysteriously swap bodies, leading to comedic and heartfelt situations, this time there are no less than four characters in the body swap: mother, daughter, grandmother, and granddaughter.
“Last time was freaky, this time it’s freakier,” onscreen lines read throughout the trailer.
“My face looks like a Birkin bag that’s been left out in the sun to rot,” Jamie Lee Curtis is heard saying.
Directed by Nisha Ganatra and written by Jordan Weiss, the movie also features Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Mark Harmon, Manny Jacinto, Christina Vidal Mitchell, and many more.
The song playing in the trailer is “HOT TO GO!” by American singer-songwriter Chappell Roan, released on August 11, 2023.
