Southwest A Lot of Shampoo Commercial Song - Feat. Curly Haired Man Actor

Southwest’s latest advertising campaign, called “The Big Flex,” highlights its advantages such as two complimentary checked bags and points with no expiration in humorous spots.

One of them features a confident curly-haired man striding through a hotel and onto the streets, proudly displaying his curls. He pauses to chat with a woman walking her curly-haired dog, boasting about how he can pack “a lot of shampoo” thanks to Southwest’s policy of two free checked bags. He humorously explains that achieving his voluminous curls requires an entire bottle of shampoo at once and jokes that even the dog can relate because of its curly fur.

The commercial concludes with the voiceover declaring, “Two bags fly free. That’s a big flex,” set to the tune of “Do You Dig It” by Ray Barretto.
Another ad showcases a couple enjoying an extended stay at a pool, thanks to Southwest’s absence of change fees.

These commercials will be broadcasted on television, while Southwest is also collaborating with influencers to bolster its presence on social media.

Jonathan Clarkson, Southwest’s vice president of marketing, explained that after the airline’s 2022 holiday mishap, they refrained from introducing new branding campaigns for a period. He noted a shift in customer demographics, with an increasing number of Gen Z and Millennial travelers expressing interest in Southwest’s perks.
