Keira Knightley stars in a new ad campaign for CHANEL, promoting the new fragrance Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum Intense.
The campaign film, directed by Johan Renck, opens with the gorgeous British actress, who’s been the face of Coco Mademoiselle since 2007, waking up the morning after a wild party in Paris and looking around the room, which is filled with balloons and confetti, in an attempt to remember the night before. As she recalls the events, she is seen kicking off her shoes, dropping her purse, snagging a guy in her scarf and playing strip chess with him, and singing “Coco” during karaoke. The music soundtracking the short film was composed by Krister Linder specifically for the campaign.
The new Coco Mademoiselle fragrance, created by perfumer Olivier Polge and described as “a deeper, warmer scent than the original Coco Mademoiselle”, features notes of patchouli, amber, tonka bean, vanilla from Madagascar, and citrus. “I wanted to remain close to the original formula, while giving it a whole new dimension”, Polge, who’s Perfumer-Creator for the House of Chanel, explained, mentioning that he also wanted “to increase the proportions of fractionated patchouli”, “Push it to the limit. Unleash its power on the skin without altering the freshness of the top notes”.
Launched today, March 1, 2018, it is available for purchase at the brand’s website from $110.
