“Thinking about new camping equipment? Heed the call and head to Kmart, where all tents and canopies are on sale now.” – this is the message conveyed in the latest ad released by Kmart.
The 30-second spot, titled “Nature Calls”, features a family in the outdoors making sounds produced by animals and birds, while their dog is looking at them. Eventually, he loses patience and shouts “pork chop”. When his owners realize he said “pork chop”, they place a pork chop on the barbecue to fulfill his wish.
The spot ends with the voiceover urging you to “get back to nature with all tents and canopies on sale now at Kmart” and with the dog trying to get the couple’s attention: “Read my lips, pork chop”.
The song playing in the background is “Din Daa Daa” by George Kranz.
