Coach Prime and the rest of the Sanders crew turn a quaint family reunion into a heated, protein-packed strength competition in the Oikos Super Bowl commercial.
The spot, titled “Old-Time Primetime”, features football legend Deion Sanders, who has been newly named University of Colorado head coach, taking part in a sort of family picnic and saying he’s the strongest in the family. At this point, their reunion turns into a competition across generations.
Eventually, the Oikos yogurt proves to be the strongest. The range, consisting of Oikos Pro with 20 grams of protein, Oikos Triple Zero with 15 grams of protein, and Oikos Blended with 13 grams of protein, is showcased on the screen.
The commercial also features Deion’s daughter and rising college basketball star Shelomi, son and college football safety Shilo, and sister Tracie, as well as his son and celebrated college football quarterback Shedeur and his mother, Connie.
This is the fourth consecutive year the Greek yogurt company runs a commercial during the Big Game.
“We hope our campaign inspires consumers to make strong snack choices that power their strength,” said Surbhi Martin, vice president, Greek yogurt and functional nutrition at Danone North America in a statement, mentioning that, in 2023, the brand will “strengthen access to nutrition and fitness resources that will help fuel the next generation of strong, healthy young adults.”
