BMW showcases the all-new all-electric 2023 BMW iX1 in a new commercial.
Titled “Dreams Upgraded,” the ad features a couple in a BMW iX1 having the things around them change the way they wish. Stuck in traffic because of a marathon taking place in the city, they discover another street that takes them out of the city. Arrived at a lake, they see the road ahead becoming longer and giving them the chance to continue their journey. When the night comes, the car’s headlights light the way and they eventually arrive in a forest where their friends are by the fire, in a camp.
“Electrify your dreams. The all-new BMW iX1” onscreen lines read at the end of the 30-second spot.
The song playing in the background is the 2013 single “Guided By Moonlight” by Betamaxx, a Pittsburgh based artist focused on music inspired and created by vintage synthesizers. The track is included on his 2015 album “Plug & Play” and is available for purchase on Amazon for $0.99.
The world premiere of the all-electric BMW iX1 took place on June 1, 2022, along with the new BMW X1, which is in its third model generation.
The first-ever BMW iX1 is a Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) that enters the premium compact segment with a new control/operation system with BMW Operating System 8 and BMW Curved Display, as well as a wider selection of automated driving and parking systems.
The BMW iX1 xDrive30 is the first all-wheel-drive electric car introduced by the brand in the premium compact segment. Two highly integrated drive units at the front and rear axles deliver a combined output of 230 kW/313 hp and post overall torque of 494 Nm (364 lb-ft).
