Pinterest has launched a new ad campaign in the UK, aimed at highlighting that, “Pinterest is an essential tool for any self-starter,” and that, “Whatever project you’re ready for, big or small, there’s no better place to start”.
One of the three spots included in the campaign features a dog owner who, tired of having his furry friend ruining his sleep at night, searches on Pinterest for Dog DYI ideas and builds a bed for him.
Serving as soundtrack is the 2017 single “24 Hours” by Chicago’s singer-songwriter Kevin Rhomberg, aka Knox Fortune. The other two spots, featuring a barber shop customer getting hair ideas and a married couple with a large family getting storage ideas, are scored by the same track.
Launched on May 4th, the campaign, titled “Start here” and showing people how they can find ideas on Pinterest, marks the service’s third UK advertising campaign. The three 30-second spots, created by the company’s global creative team in collaboration with UK director Ben Whitehouse and Stink Studios, will be airing exclusively on Channel 4 throughout the summer.
