The brand of chemical drain opener Liquid-Plumr celebrates plumbers and their cracks in its latest commercial, urging you to do the same and “show your crack with pride, because it’s a beautiful thing”.
Created with the idea that Liquid-Plumr “doesn’t just destroy the toughest clogs, it empowers people everywhere to be their own Plumr”, the 45-second spot features several persons, both men and women, of various ages and backgrounds, showing their crack.
Thus, we get to see dozens of butt cracks, belonging to a florist, to a couple of seniors at the pool, to a man bowling, to a boxer, to a trash collector, to a painter and others.
The spot ends with the voiceover saying that, “with Liquid-Plumr power to destroy the toughest clogs, there’s a Plumr in all of us”.
The music playing in the background is “Too Marvelous For Words” by American singer and actress Rosemary Clooney, who passed away in 2002. The song, written in 1937 by Johnny Mercer, was included on Rosemary’s 1960 album “Clap Hands!”.
