Jeep announces the new plug-in electric 2021 Wrangler 4xe in a new commercial, which aims to highlight that off-road adventure meets electric efficiency in the charge towards the future.
The spot features a wide range of wild animals, including a hippo that groans melodically, a timpani pounding, a iguana, a gator reverbing, elephants, buffalos running, sloths, wolves howling, a goat doing a vibrato, a turtle eating a fish, owls, blue peacocks, a tiny frog, a giraffe, a lion roaring, and a whale cleaning split valve, while a Jeep Wrangler 4xe drives across the desert.
“2021: Your Earth Odyssey Begins” an onscreen line reads at the end of the commercial, which sees a bunch of apes finding the electrified Wrangler being charged at what seems to be a monolith.
Starting at $47,995, the electrified Jeep Wrangler 4xe features a plug-in hybrid turbocharged engine, 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of instant torque, 50 MPGe rating and E-Selec driving modes that enable drivers to optimize performance on every ride. The car will be available in Q1 2021.
