Lancome has launched the campaign film for its new Idôle fragrance, created for “the generation that dreams big: strong women, empowered and outspoken”.
The 45-second spot features actress and singer Zendaya riding a white horse through the streets of Los Angeles and up on a hill, where she holds a bottle of Idôle toward the sky. Serving as soundtrack is the 2016 single “Unstoppable” by Australian singer-songwriter Sia, from her seventh studio album, “This Is Acting”.
The fragrance has top notes of bergamot (citrus), juicy pear, and pink peppercorn, middle notes of rose and jasmine, and bottom notes of White Musk, vanilla, Patchouli, and cedarwood.
Zendaya, named a global ambassador for the beauty brand earlier this year, in February, joining thus the likes of Julia Roberts, Lily Collins, Penelope Cruz and Lupita Nyong’o, said that “an idol – and who your idol should be – is yourself really”. “An idol is whatever definition that you want to make it for yourself. I think it’s important to make it for yourself and not allow people to define what it is for you. I always say my idol is my future self.
I don’t know who she is yet, I haven’t met her yet, but I know she’s there and she’s waiting for me in the future,” she also said.
