Honor UK has released a hilarious new advert urging viewers to break up with their old phone this Valentine’s Day and get, instead, the new Honor 9 Lite.
Titled “The Brake Up”, the 50-second spot opens with a young woman taking a seat on a couch and, after sobbing, starting to give a break up speech. “So I’ve been thinking. And I think you’re not what you used to be. You can’t keep up with me anymore. And you’re so… last year.”, the woman says and, at this point, it is revealed the recipient of her speech: her smartphone. She doesn’t stop here, though, reproaching to the phone that it really doesn’t “get” her and that its focus is everywhere else but on her. “Don’t take this the wrong way, but I would prefer something bigger.”, she finally says, handing a tissue to the phone, on the table.
“This Valentine’s Day, break up with your old phone. For the new Honor 9 Lite with Quad lens.”, the voiceover encourages people at the end of the spot, presenting the Honor 9 Lite as “the phone made to make you stand out”.
The Honor 9 Lite features 5.65-inch FullView FHD+ screen, 2160×1080 FHD+ and 18:9 bezel-less display, the latest Kirin 659 Octa-core processor, the brand’s fourth-generation fingerprint identification technology, front camera that boasts an industry leading 13MP + 2MP dual-lens system, delivering crystal images with hardware-level bokeh effects, panorama selfie, gesture control shooting, and built-in effects, six power-saving options that help you keep going and enjoy “86 hours offline music listening or 13 hours offline video watching, without worries”, according to the manufacturer.
The Honor 9 Lite Blue is now available for purchase for £199.99 (reduced from £269.98) and comes with free Honor earphones worth £69.99 with each purchase.
