Can a family of five leave for a vacation without forgetting something? A new commercial for the 2019 Subaru Ascent takes a light-hearted approach to the topic and says they can’t.
The 30-second spot opens with the family in their 2019 Subaru Ascent, ready to hit the road. When the mother asks if everyone got everything and the father starts the engine and the music, the youngest kid says she has to go pee.
Back in the car, they don’t get to go not even one mile because the middle child has to go back in the house to bring a stuffed unicorn for her younger sibling. When she returns, the oldest kid, a boy, decides to go back in the house, too, because he needs his pillow. Finally, when all the three kids prove to be ready for the trip, their dad notices he had forgotten to attach the boat to the car.
The commercial ends with the voiceover introducing the brand new 3-row Subaru Ascent as “The perfect family SUV for your mostly perfect family” while on screen a bunch of racoons are seen invading the family’s garage.
