Virgin Media Why stumble when you can soar? Advert Song - Feat. Flying Goat

Virgin Media has launched a new advert to promote its superior WiFi Guarantee.

The spot, which marks the second instalment in the company’s “To Better and Beyond” creative platform, tells the story story of a goat who leaves his stumbling herd behind to take to the skies in a hang glider. The video opens on a herd of goats stuck on a remote mountainside, each stumbling around on the precipice. Above, on the rocky mountain terrain, the wheels of a hang glider come into view. It soon turns out the pilot is a goat that takes off and soars off into the skies.

“Why stumble when you can soar?” the voiceover asks at the end of the advert, which is set to the tune of “St. Elmo’s Fire (Man in Motion)” by British singer John Parr, from the 1985 film St. Elmo’s Fire.

Created in partnership with VCCP London, the campaign aims to inspire the nation to reach their fullest potential and never settle for less. Virgin Media offers the UK’s fastest WiFi Guarantee of any major provider, promising customers minimum download speeds of 20Mbps in every room or money back.

“Our latest campaign highlights the truly unstoppable spirit of the Virgin Media brand and our ambitions to provide our customers with the very best connectivity to help them reach new heights. Through our market-leading WiFi Guarantee, we want our customers to truly feel like they can do anything in life – like our hang-gliding goat,” Simon Valcarcel, Marketing Director at Virgin Media O2 said in a press release.
