ebay highlights that, on ebay, you can find anything you’re looking for, for any passion you have, in its latest ad.
The spot, which marks the next installation in the “Inspired by an eBay Story” platform, features a young woman who receives the Best Documentary Award with her cat. She then starts to tell the story of how she ended up receiving this award. It soon turns out it all started when she wanted to start something new: kayak. She got a used helmet, a wetsuit and a refurbished sports cam and went on an adventure but she realized she was better off at home with Kenny (her cat), who – unlike her – loves adventures. She then decided to put the refurbished sports cam on Kenny’s head and create a documentary from his perspective.
“On ebay, you can find anything you’re looking for, for any passion you have,” the voiceover says at the end of the commercial, which features the song “Alright” by Supergrass.
Created by independent creative agency DUDE, the campaign runs on national Italian TV channels.
