Pepsi has teamed up with Lindsay Lohan for its new festive campaign, called “Pilk and Cookies”.
The Falling for Christmas star appears in a commercial in which she gets a surprise from Santa as she goes into the living room, in the middle of the night, after hearing some strange noises. Clad in her red flannel pajamas and wearing a Santa hat, Lohan finds that her guest poured Pepsi into the glass of milk she had left for him next to a plate of cookies. “That is one dirty soda, Santa,” she says as she takes a sip.
In another short video, the actress wears a Santa dress and hat inspired by her iconic Mean Girls performance of “Jingle Bell Rock” and makes her own dirty soda. “Pepsi and Milk – Pilk!” she says excitedly at the end of the clip.
The brand has also launched sweepstakes, giving fans the chance to win a cash prize for their gifts. They are invited to “join the naughty list” with the #PilkandCookies Holiday Challenge, from December 1 to Christmas Day, by following Pepsi on Instagram, TikTok and Twitter and sharing a photo or video of their Pilk and Cookies.
“With the rise of the ‘dirty soda’ trend on TikTok and throughout the country, we thought Pilk and Cookies would be a great way to unapologetically celebrate the holidays,” said Todd Kaplan, Pepsi’s chief marketing officer, in a statement about the campaign.
