The trailer for the upcoming “The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” has been released at Disney and Marvel’s presentation at CCXP 2022 in Brazil.
Written and directed by James Gunn, the movie sees the beloved band of misfits getting back together for one last mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them. Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), still reeling from the loss of Gamora (Zoe Saldaña), must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own.
The cast ensemble also includes Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, and Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter, and Maria Bakalova.
The trailer teases the origins of Rocket Raccoon and the experiments done to him as a baby that helped made him what he is today, shows Peter Quill trying to reconnect with Gamora, and the crew trying to deal with the film’s new character, Adam Warlock (played by Will Poulter).
The music in the trailer is the 1994 song “In the Meantime”, which marked the debut single of English alternative rock band Spacehog, from their debut album, “Resident Alien”.
The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set for release on May 5, 2023.
