Apple AirPods Man Bouncing Commercial Song

Apple AirPods Commercial Guy - Pigeons

Apple advertises its AirPods in a new commercial, highlighting that, with wireless charging and voice-activated Siri, AirPods have never felt more wireless.

The spot, created by TBWA Chiat Day and directed by Oscar Hudson, follows a young man as he gets ready to step outside, in the morning. He forces himself to put on a happy face and then grabs his Apple AirPods and asks Siri to play him something new. As the song (a version of the 2016 single “I Learnt Some Jazz Today” by producer and songwriter Tessellated) begins to play, he discovers that the black-and-white environment is a bounce house, which helps him leap to unexpected heights. Thus, the man is seen springing from car to car, jumping on a manhole cover that turns out to be a trampoline, up flighting of stairs and over construction zones, and floating over the people who are waiting at a bus station.

“AirPods with wireless charging” an onscreen line reads at the end of the commercial, which sees the protagonist on the rooftop of a building, near three pigeons.

The 2-minute film, which has been shot in 12 days, features a protégé of high-flying choreographer and acrobat Yoann Bourgeois. The outdoor scenes have been filmed in Ukraine’s capital city, Kiev. The town was recreated on a set inside the country’s largest airplane hangar.
