The upcoming romance drama film Everything, Everything, set to be released in theaters this month, on May 19, has a new trailer, highlighting the soundtrack.
Based on Nicola Yoon’s 2015 novel of the same name and directed by Stella Meghie, the movie revolves around Maddy, a 18-year-old girl unable to leave her house because she’s allergic to everything, who falls in love with the boy next door. The trailer, revealing quite much of the plot, features the sheltered life Maddy has been living because of her sickness and the encounter with Olly, her new neighbor, who encourages her to go see the ocean as this is what she dreams of doing. Thus, the two teenagers embark on a journey to see the ocean, which makes their feelings for each other grow even stronger.
“You never forget your first date, your first adventure, your first love. Risk everything to feel something.” – is the message conveyed in the trailer, featuring Maddy, played by Amandla Stenberg, saying “I’m willing to risk everything just to live one perfect day”.
The songs playing in the trailer are “How Did We” by 15-year-old American singer Skylar Stecker and “Stay” by Russian-German electronic music producer Zedd and Canadian singer Alessia Cara.
The Everything, Everything Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, due out May 17, will feature these two tracks, plus others, also from Kehlani and Amandla Stenberg.
