“Everyone loves a comeback. Damaged hair deserves one too.” – this is the message conveyed in the latest L’Oréal Paris commercial, starring Winona Ryder and promoting the new Elvive range, which helps to revive all forms of hair damage.
The 46-year-old actress, who is one of the most successful and iconic actresses of the 1990s and currently plays Joyce Byers in the Netflix original series Stranger Things, is seen in a room where she gets ready before going on stage. Donning a long black dress and her wavy locks on the back, she goes through her speech one more time, admires the bunch of flowers sent to her with a note, and passes her hand through her hair, while waiting to be called, but her face is not shown until the end of the spot, when she’s about to walk onto the stage.
The voiceover introduces the new Elvive range, which includes shampoo, conditioner, damage erasing balm, recharge treatment, and encourages viewers to “go beyong regular shampoo or conditioner”, adding the tagline “Because you’re worth it”.
The soundtrack music is Lea Michele’s 2017 song “Anything’s Possible” off her second album, “Places”, released on April 28, 2017.
