Jennifer Lopez, the new face of Guess, stars in the brand’s Spring 2018 campaign, art-directed by Guess’ co-founder Paul Marciano.
A teaser for the campaign featuring the artist talking about her partnership with the fashion house, as well as footage from the campaign film, has been released, with the song “Amor Amor Amor” serving as soundtrack.
Photographed in a villa set high up in the Hollywood Hills by acclaimed fashion photographer Tatiana Gerusova, the 48-year-old pop singer and actress is seen straddling a chair as she shows off skintight Guess Jeans in the campaign film. She’s also seen donning a white dress on the mansion’s stairs, looking retro in a black and white spread while playing cards with some young men and lounging on a fountain outside the mansion. “Paul Marciano had some interest in me being the new Guess girl. It was really really flattering.” – Jennifer Lopez says. “I think whenever you see a Guess campaign you think to yourself and you see the beautiful images that they come out with. A lot of times we didn’t even know some of the models that were in it until they became Guess girls.” – she added.
Marciano described Jennifer Lopez in a press release as “Guess Girl’s dream”, “an accomplished artist”, “iconic” and “sensual” and added that “Her beauty and class shine through this campaign”, campaign that “celebrates the notion that women get more beautiful and talented as they gain life experience”.
Jennifer Lopez has become thus the oldest Guess Girl ever, as she dethroned Claudia Schiffer, who was 41 when she modeled for Guess’s 30th anniversary in 2012.
