Match UK continues its “Start Something Real” campaign with a new installment.
The spot features a diverse cast of individuals using the dating app and some of its features, such as match live, match events, match voice, 5 things in common, and real-time chat, to find their perfect match, which it happens.
“Ready to fall head over heels with match?” an onscreen line reads in the opening of the advert, which goes on to show how those persons start a relationship with the match found on the dating app. Same-sex couples are also featured throughout the video.
“You, too, could fall head over heels for someone on match,” the voiceover says, urging viewers to download match.
The song playing in the background is the 2020 single “HIGHER” by Scottish-American singer and songwriter Bishop Briggs (Sarah Grace McLaughlin by her real name). The track, included on her album of the same name, is available for purchase on Amazon for $1.29.
The Match dating app, available for download for free, includes a variety of features, such as in-app video chat, custom search, conversation starters, virtual & in-person events, and access to Dating Experts.
Match launched its “Start something real” campaign in 2020, as “a pledge against the dating fatigue created by fast dating apps and a call to action for all singles to come back to an app that praises realness, authenticity and commitment in dating”.
Directed by Truman & Cooper, the campaign rolls out in multiple European countries, including France, UK, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Norway.
